Dr. Maria Loretta De Toni, founder and President of Maria De Toni Srl, has chosen the dual concept of Business & Culture as her company mission. As jewellery stylist and curator of different jewellery exhibitions, she aims to implement, together with her International Team of academic and business professionals, projects of integrated economy that can influence markets, cultures and peoples of the world positively through innovative products “with a soul”. The goal is to create a New economic and cultural Renaissance between the East and the West. 2012-2014: Vice President and since 2015 Advisor of the Chamber of Industries and Services of Confindustria Vicenza (Association of Industries in the Province of Vicenza).

1985: Ph.D. in Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures (Germanistic studies) at the Economy Faculty of the Verona University in Italy. Languages: English, German and French.

1988-1990: co-author of Fascism and Exile volume 1 and volume 2 by Maria Sechi, Giardini Editori, Pisa.

1997: Foundation of H.P. – ART, an innovative and spontaneous artistic movement involving artists and designers in the economy process. In 1998 she was finalist in this project at the Guggenheim Prize for Business & Culture.

1998: International Competition of Gold Jewellery Design based on the African culture with relevant Design Exhibition.

1999-2000: International Gold Jewellery Design Competition based on the Arabic culture directed by the Architects Afra e Tobia Scarpa: it was recognized as a project of economic and cultural globalization by the United Nations (G.E.C.).

29.04.1999-01.05.1999: Honorary member of First International Who’s Who of Professionals Congress, in Orlando, Florida, USA, she made a speech on the topic entitled “Business & Culture for Love and Peace in the World: International Projects of economic – cultural globalization by H.P.- ART”.

2000: Collaboration with UNESCO (UVO – Verona Projects’ Office – IIOP) for the design of the Jewel for Peace in support of Manifesto 2000 for peace and non-violence promoted internationally by Unesco.

11.01.2004-31.03.2004: Project Leader for the book and the exhibition “The Routes of Gold – Vicenza, Venice “The Serenissima” and the Orient (1404–2004)”, at Palazzo Chiericati, Civic Museum of Vicenza, under the patronage of Veneto Region, The Province and The Town of Vicenza, The Fair of Vicenza in collaboration with the orientalist Dr. Cristina Del Mare and the jewellery historian Giulietta Cozzi.

2004: Creation of 20 Designs based on Islamic Art including the poetry of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince, Ruler and Prime Minister of Dubai and Vice President of the UAE. Research, design and artistic drawings were made in collaboration with G. Cozzi for the Islamic Gallery for His Highness’ yacht.

2008: “Palladio and the Orient” jewel for the international event “n. X 500. Designers interpret Andrea Palladio”(1508-2008 celebrating the 500th anniversary from the birth of the famous Architect Palladio) organized by Officina Eventi.

2008: curator of the exhibition guide Luxury through an Oriental Eye (1000-2000) in collaboration with Dr. Stefano Carboni, Giulietta Cozzi, Dr. Cristina Del Mare and Prof. John M. Spalek, under the patronage of the Vicenza Trade Fair and Confindustria.

2009-2010-2011: Organization of exhibitions and international conferences aimed to relaunch Made in Italy in collaboration with national periodicals through interviews, dossiers and publications. Organization of the Conference “Integrated Economy for the Revival of the Made in Italy” in Palazzo Ferrajoli , Rome, Italy, on the 21st October 2010 and Conference Catalogue with Review Photos of Distinguished Names and “Enlightened” Italian Entrepreneurs in collaboration with Maria De Toni Srl, MondoLibero Group and Photo Art by D. Rigon. Organization of the Event “East & West Renaissance Integrated Economy for the revival of Made in Italy in the world” promoted by Maria De Toni Srl at Royal Palace in Palermo on 18th May 2011, under the Patronage of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, the Embassy of Italy to the UAE, Veneto Region, Foundation Federico II, University and Confindustria of Palermo, Assemblea Regionale Siciliana and Presidenza Regionale Siciliana under the auspices of the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano.

Conference “Al Nahda East & West Jewellery Renaissance” curated by Dr. Maria Loretta De Toni and organized by Maria De Toni Srl at Park Hyatt Dubai (UAE) on 6th December 2011 in association with the UAE Government, the Embassy of Italy to the UAE and Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group as part of the 40th Anniversary of the UAE UNITY (1971-2011). Celebrations under the auspices of the President of the Italian Republic.

26.11.2012: Speaker about Italian Jewellery & Islamic Art at the Conference “Intercultural dialogue between Western and Islamic Art” held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi on 26th November 2012, organized by the Embassy of Italy to the UAE.
